Lazy Susan: Ever single kitchen has corner cabinets and these corner cabinets are a great place to free up come much needed space. For a few bucks and some sweat on your part, you can buy and install a Lazy Susan in each corner cabinet in your kitchen. A Lazy Susan will have two or three levels and will spin all the way around 360 degrees so that you can actually store a good deal more than the regular corner shelves that are typically installed in most home is corner cabinets.
If your kitchen is more than a little cramped and cluttered and you are not quite ready to call in a kitchen remodeling team, there are a few simple tweaks you can make that will free up some precious storage space quickly and easily.
By doing something as simple as installing dish rail to the forward edge of the upper cabinet tops, you provide a defined, aesthetically pleasing storage area for the likes of that fancy dinnerware you have used once in the last year, the larger pieces of cookware that also have not seen action since the last holiday. Storing larger, seldom used pieces overhead clears more concealed storage space for some of the items that clutter your counter space. Remember that sandwich maker; there you go, out of sight. Note, keep a balanced and visually appealing amount of items overhead, do not defeat your progress by simply shuffling the jumble from below overhead.
Looking at those cluttered countertops and that jumbled pantry it is hard to imagine any reasonable way of gaining back that control you once maintained and somehow surrendered slowly over time to the likes of a canister here, that sandwich maker there, the one that you just "had to have". We could go on and on, but the issue here is not the cause of the dilemma. Your focus needs to be on the remedy.
An under the counter knife block is installed by screwing it under any kitchen cabinet. This raises it off the counter top giving more counter space. It swivels out when you need it and swivels back when you are not using it, so the knife handles are not in the way.
Of course, a big cause of this is simple accumulation. We buy groceries, pots, pans, and utensils, and receive countless gifts during birthdays and holidays (which half the time we never end up using).
